Large sheets instead of a tiled splashback – only 1.5–4 mm thin, waterproof and made from recycled Carrara marble.
The splashback shapes the whole kitchen. Instead of a tiled splashback with many grout lines, our wall cladding creates a calm, generous surface: sheets of around 3 × 1 m, only 1.5–4 mm thin, fixed to a load-bearing wall. A whole run of kitchen units can be clad with very few joints – in exposed concrete, marble, natural stone or rust looks.
Because the sheets are flexible, they can also clad kitchen islands, counters and bars. All surfaces are waterproof and handmade in Italy. Reborn is made of around 95% recycled Carrara marble, HeavyRoll and Concrete Art of around 60%.
All surfaces from our collections are suitable for splashbacks, islands and counters HeavyRoll, Concrete Art and Reborn – including a warm wood effect. Here are two designs from real kitchen projects and four more ideas.
Board-formed exposed concrete as a splashback – warm next to wooden fronts.
Real rust finish with rivets – a statement piece on the kitchen island.
Flexible marble made from recycled Carrara marble – an elegant kitchen splashback.
Smooth exposed concrete for a calm, modern kitchen – made from around 95% recycled Carrara marble.
Weathered formwork concrete in loft style – for kitchens with character.
Flexible stone with a natural stone look – natural and lively.
Is the wall cladding suitable for the kitchen?
Yes. Our surfaces are waterproof and suitable for splashbacks, kitchen islands, counters and bars – in home kitchens as well as in restaurants and showrooms.
Is there a concrete effect splashback without tiles?
Yes. Instead of concrete effect tiles, your splashback is made from large sheets in a real Concrete Effect – for example board-formed exposed concrete from HeavyRoll NEW YORK or smooth exposed concrete from Reborn Concrete: a concrete surface made of sheets of approx. 3 × 1 m with only a few joints.
Can a kitchen island be clad?
Yes. The sheets are flexible and only a few millimetres thin, so the fronts and sides of a kitchen island or counter can be clad – as in our project with HeavyRoll TITANIC.
Which looks are available for the kitchen?
All surfaces from our collections are suitable for the kitchen – for example exposed concrete such as HeavyRoll NEW YORK, VINTAGE CONCRETE or Reborn Concrete, real rust from our rust wall cladding, flexible marble from the Reborn Marble collection, a natural stone look with Pietra Flessibile and reliefs from Concrete Art.
How is the wall cladding delivered?
On rolls: our concrete, marble, stone and wood looks are delivered rolled up – easy to transport and easy to bring into the kitchen. Each sheet measures approx. 3,000 × 950–1,000 mm and is only 1.5–4 mm thin, so a splashback is created with very few joints.
How is the splashback installed?
Quick and easy: HeavyRoll and Concrete Art are fixed with standard tile adhesive onto a load-bearing, flat and even substrate – apply the adhesive with a notched trowel (up to 6 mm). You can even fix them directly over an old tiled splashback: no chiselling, no dust, no rubble – saving time and money.
Is the material sustainable?
Yes. Reborn is made of around 95% recycled Carrara marble, HeavyRoll and Concrete Art of around 60%. Every sheet is handmade in Italy. Find out more on our page Sustainability.
